Ha ha..not really. The Brooks tech shirt was part of the race, but the rest is what I couldn't live without. I know that I'm going to need a new pair of shoes soon, so I took advantage of a 20% off coupon and got the new Brooks ST 4 Racers in yellow! And, the blue water bottle was a free gift...how cool is that? I also snagged a pair of Yaktrax for $15! Woohoo!
Now, here's a quick clothing question for you. The temp at the start of my race is supposed to be in the low 50s. Would you run in shorts/skirt or capris? Guys, I know you don't wear capris, but what would you wear?

I would wear capris, that's just me.
I would either wear capris or shorts. When I did the Fargo Half Marathon a couple years ago, it was 45 degrees at the start and I was wearing shorts and a tank. I just get so hot so I would rather start chilled!
Love the yellow shoes!! I would definitely go w/ shorts or a skirt. You get so much hotter in races than in training...just take a shirt to toss after you warm up. Good luck!!

Clothing is always a big unknown. I am going to be wearing capris but I will be out there much longer then you and my legs look better covered up :)
I asked about dropping clothes along the route but not sure I got an answer. I might wear a longer shirt if it is cold in the morning and drop it at an aid station. I have plenty of old shirts for that type of thing.

I would wear a running skirt or shorts. I always end up heating up and wish that I would of not dressed so warm:) Good luck!
I would go for the shorts/skirt. Capris could get to hot once your body warms up

Shorts and a short sleeve T jersey. Just remember how much body heat you create while running.

I have the ST4, I like them, but for me, anything over a 10k, they put a hurt on my legs.
