Tall Mom's Virtual 5k Race Report

Virtual 5k Race Report:
I registered for Tall Mom's Virtual 5k as a way to donate to Marathon for a Cure, and yesterday was the day for the race.  I was planning on running with my boys in the jogging stroller, but we never got the chance.  Clouds started rolling in, the winds picked up, and I really didn't want to be out and about with my boys if the sky decided to open up and rain.  So, I opted to run on the treadmill instead.  In honor of Mother's Day, I decided to let my boys decorate my bib.  They used water colors to paint it and then decorated it with some sea stickers.  Here it is in all of its beauty:
I got all of my stuff ready, set my boys up with an "Elmo's World" DVD and got running!  I don't know about all of you, but I actually run faster outside than on my treadmill.  So, I did the best I could.  Here are my stats:
It was hot in my basement and my youngest kept asking me things about Elmo..ha ha.  I found it hard to keep a fast pace, but I am happy with my 5k effort! :)

Nice job, Aimee! You did great on the 'mill. I really love that your kids did your bib for you -- I thought of that only after the kids were in bed last night!!! So, I didn't have a bib. And, I love your shirt. I'm a Brooks girl. Did you get it from their site or at a store?

Hi Aimee,
Way to bust out a 5k on the mill!! You have to keep your bib and put it in a book or something to keep it safe:) That bib is precious!

Hello Aimee,

Have you heard of Healthy Handles? If you use a jogging stroller, you should check out www.healthyhandles.com. There is a promo code that saves you 15% AND they are affiliated with Moms in Motion to donate to the Marathon for a Cure as well! The code is: moms

Check out their 100% guarantee....its money back including shipping if you don't love them...but you will. Trust me on this one, a jogging stroller without them feels a bit silly after using them for 6 months myself.
