A week in review and Giveaway Winner!

Training:
*  Overall, my first week of IM training went great!  Woohoo!  I modified the running a little bit b/c I'm just getting back into it after my IT band injury, and I didn't want to overdo it.  BUT, I think next week I'll be able to get it all done. :)
Where my BRICK happened!  I would have liked to have done it outside, but this worked just fine. And, yes, I did the run in my VFFs and loved it.
*  I did my first BRICK of the season yesterday! It was short, only a 30min. bike/15min. run, but it felt great!  I was actually looking forward to doing it and ended up wishing it was longer.  However, I KNOW my feelings will change when my BRICKs turn into 5hr. bike ride/2hr. runs...ha ha!
Sweaty and happy after my run! :)
*  Remember how I did a post about the awesome TRX??  Well, I found a coupon for the pro pack and kind of hinted about it to my husband and guess what?  He decided to get it for me as an early b-day present (my b-day is in June)!  Woohoo!  Well, guess what came in the mail on Friday??
I am so excited to get this thing set up!  The only problem is deciding where to put it.  I can't anchor it to any structure since we're moving, but I do have the door anchor, so I just need to find the perfect spot!  Yay!!!

Other Things Too:
*  GIVEAWAY WINNER:  I had 52 entries for the giveaway!  Based on random.org, the winner of the earphones is.... Kathy from lettlingtales!!!  Kathy, send me an email with your address and I'll forward it on to auria so you can get your set of earphones! :)

*  So, it's official, we are moving into an apartment.  We just haven't found our "dream house" yet, and although it's not an ideal situation, I know it will be fine.  I found some free moving boxes off of Craigslist and have been packing up like crazy.  At first I got a little emotional about the whole thing and ended up calling my mom, bawling.  It hit me that we are actually leaving our first home...the home where both of my boys grew up.  It just made me really sad.  But, I know we are doing the right thing for our boys by moving.  I also know that wherever we end up, we will make a new home filled with love and happiness, just like we have now.

*  Is it really May 1st??  WOW...where did the time go?  Time is flying by!

*  I hope you all have a great weekend!  :)

I'm glad you like your VFF's...I run on mine for short distance running since I noticed that's all they are good for in my opinion.

Hooray for June Bdays! I'm a June baby too :)

Have a great rest of your sunday

Great job on the brick... and smart move to modify this week because of the IT! You have plenty of time to follow the plan to a T!

Yay for IM training! Nice brick! I completely get the feeling about moving into an apt., but you are doing the right thing. The house should be your dream house, and waiting for it is smart!

Hooray for a great brick!! I simply cannot wait to live through some "serious" bricks during your IM training. I shall live vicariously through you...as I have determined that the full is way too studly for me.

Aimee!!!! I have missed you! I have stopped by every now and then to see what you were up to. I just felt a little funny leaving comments because I was not running or posting. Nice job on the brick. I am so excited for you this year...you are going to do some amazing things! Good luck with the move.

Take care Lady! Love and hugs:)

Oh, I so know your pain. Moving is a pain in the butt AND emotionally taxing for me. Hang in there.

I am so impressed with you Aimee! Don't know how you do it. I don't even know what a Brick is or how you manage to train for an IM...You're amazing!! Congrats on a great start to your training.

Woo hoo first brick of the season! I'm hoping to sneak one in tomorrow myself.

Sounds like everything is going well with running too. Hope that means you're all healed.

I'm excited to see the "dream" house when you find it. I can sympathize with moving and training---I did it last summer and I DON'T have children, I can't even imagine.
