New Suit???

What do you think?  Is it time for a new swimming suit?
Yes, that is sunlight shining through.  It makes me wonder if the old guy swimming laps this morning caught a glimpse of something he shouldn't have.
It is a couple of years old, but I swear it just started disintegrating this past week.  They've been changing the chemicals in the pool and I think they were just too much for the suit to handle.  I absolutely HATE swimming suit shopping, as I'm sure all women do, but I guess it's time to bite the bullet and get a new one.  Wish me luck! :)

just picked up a new pair of swim jammers myself, my old ones were leaving very little to the imagination too!

Polyester material seems to last a long time.

HA! I like Patrick's comment. Yeah, you might want to get a new one! I hate when stuff doesn't last as long as you had hoped!

Too funny. I went to a master's practice once where a guy's suit completely split open in back. He had no idea and walked all the way down the deck like that. We were laughing so hard we couldn't even tell him--so bad!

That's awesome! I wore one like that the other day to the lake. My hubby told me that it wasn't allowed back in the house! :)

Haha! Yes, it looks like you do indeed need a new one :P I'm with you on hating swimsuit shopping! Not that that's uncommon, of course :]

Ugh. I hate when this happens. Mine do the same thing. They're fine for months and then one day, BAM ! Total wreckage. I hate shopping for suits too. Good luck !

oohhhh - go to wwww.SPLISH.com the sizing is relatively the same as TRY and you can design your own or pick one of their fabulous suits. LOVE THEM!

JC said...

oops TYR not TRY (don't know what that is)!

Jill: Do the Splish suits last long? I've seen several bloggers that have them and they always look so cute!

LOL @ Patrick...my Black swim shorts are now light tan...good job on wearing out your suit thats a good sign!

I have had this happen as well - they look good and BAM - it is a see through nightmare :)

That is so funny. I looked at my tyr at the end of the year last year and thought the same thing,"I think I gave a free show at the pool this morning."

I just buy my suits off Swim Outlet so I don't have to try anything on....the lighting in my room is so much more forgiving.

I'm with Jill. Splish. Those suits last a long time. They fit like a speedo suit. Not sure how they compare to TYR.

That just happened to mine a couple of weeks ago. Mine was only about 3 months old and perfectly fine one day, see thru the next. I'm thinking the pool was stacked with swimsuit eating chemicals...like acid almost.

It's a THONG in the back, right?!

Nice. It is definitely time for a new suit!

They last a pretty long time. I wish I had tons of $$$$ I would order one for every time I swam. Price point would be comparable to Speedo and TYR. Go to the website and check them out.

Nah, I think you still have some life in those puppies.

I hate when this happens to me. I mean... really ladies, it is not enough that my wife constantly undresses me with her eyes all day like I am some piece of meat.... hold on... let me finish this second beer.

I just had the same thing happen to me and my boyfirend kindly pointed out that you could see my breast through the swimsuit...lol..Time to get another one!!!

I have a suit like that. you'd think I'd throw it away already.

I also buy my suits off swimoutlet - so much easier!

The last time I purchased a swimsuit, I bought two so I wouldn't have to face the agony of shopping for another one in the near future. Like you, my first suit seemed to fall apart pretty rapidly and in very odd places :)

I'm actually halfway through writing up review of a Speedo Endurance swimsuit (I'd have it posted already but I was falling asleep at my computer last night). The main difference is that it is polyester instead of lycra and I have found that it lasts a LOT longer. Good luck shopping!

I've got to go shopping too. My swimsuit is wasting away and was also the one I wore when I was preggers. Not an attractive combo! :)
