Expo Fun!

Rock -n- Roll Expo!
My sister and I decided to hit up the expo on Friday rather than today to try and avoid a massive amount of runners.  We were so glad that we did because it was crazy downtown.  Trying to find parking was very frustrating, and there was traffic and people everywhere.  I can't even imagine what the expo was like today!  Probably total chaos!
Here is the swag that we got:
I absolutely love the race shirt, but big surprise, it is too big for me.  I ordered a small, but their sizing is way off. The small was huge!  I asked if I could exchange my shirt for the x-small, but they said I had to wait and do it by the finish line at the info. booth.  Whatever!  The good thing though is that my sister fits into my shirt, so my plan is to take her shirt (a medium) and try to exchange it.  If it doesn't work, then my husband gets another one of my awesome race shirts.  He's already a 70.3 poser (I gave him my 70.3 finisher visor), so adding a marathon shirt to the mix is no big deal! Ha ha!

Knowing I may not  have a race shirt, I decided to take matters into my own hands and buy another shirt.  I never do this because they're usually pretty pricey, but the shirt was actually reasonably priced and just too cute to pass up!  Oh, and I got a GoBelt too (a spin off of the Spibelt).  I won't be using it at the marathon, but I think it will be perfect for some of my mid length training runs where I need my cell phone, keys, gels, or when I do another 1/2 marathon.  It's pretty neat because it has loops for gels and clips to attach a race number to.  Yay for expo shopping! :)

I'm also excited because look what arrived in the mail yesterday?

I've been having a hard time with my earphones lately.  So, I took advantage of the deal Yurbuds was offering during Kona and ordered a pair.  They are really neat and fit my ears perfectly.  They feel really comfortable in my ears, so I'm looking forward to using them in my race.

I wanted to do something fun with my sister for the race, so I found the coolest nail polish at Target.  It is called "Speedy Sunburst," so I'm hoping it will give me that extra speed I need to make it to the finish line!  Here we are all painted up!  I don't even remember the last time I had my finger nails painted, so the color is pretty shocking! :)

Oh, and a couple of you asked what I would be wearing so you could look for me on the course....thanks!  I need all the encouragement I can get!   Unfortunately, my outfit is going to be pretty boring.  I'm totally going for comfort and what I know will not chafe me for this race!  I'll be wearing my black visor, black Sugoi shorts, CEP compression socks, a blue short sleeve shirt, and my long sleeve blue shirt for the first part.  I'll also have my Nathan waistpack on!

Alright, it's 12 hours to go time!  Yikes!
I want to wish all of you racing tomorrow the best of luck!  I can't wait to hear how your races went! :)

Good luck!!! I know that you are gonna ROCK IT! I'll be looking for you, it's so hard though when everyone starts looking the same! I think I'll be hanging out at the finish line after I finish the 1/2 and fast as you are I don't think you'll be far behind finishing the full! :)

Good luck tomorrow! I hope you can get a XS t-shirt too. My house also has many, many posers; at least, they are getting worn and I don't have to buy the boys as many shirts.

Funny, my hubs gets all my race shirts, and he got the one from Baystate, too (a S, but too big, men size). Good luck tomorrow, my toenails are painted black!

I can't wait to hear if finger nail polish make you FAST!!! Oh wait! Your were already FAST...but maybe it will make you faster. If so, I will be applying cool finger nail polish often!

I just ran a race where they only had M-L-XL...what? Do they really think that there are no S runners??? Oh well, I have a new paint shirt! =)
